Safety Sunday: Reminder, it only takes a split second

02/06/2013 by SLS Leave a Comment

first-aid-sign One split second of inattention is all it takes… Just as a friendly reminder, it doesn’t matter how much you know, how safe you normally are, all it takes is one bad call or a split second of inattention & you can find yourself injured. For me I got this nice little reminder on Memorial Day working around my place.

Over 500k people are injured each year working around or on ladders & I guess I am now part of this years statistic. Fortunately for me I was only 3′ up and besides a bleeding knee along with some bruised & scraped ribs I was back up and walking after some clean up. By Thursday all the aches & pains were gone.

With that, please stay safe, mind the sun & hot weather, and here’s to a great summer.
