Al

Al is the symbol for Aluminum which is a common material used not only in cars, planes, soda cans, but also in the building industry.  It is a soft yet lightweight metal that gets its dull silvery appearance from the oxidation that quickly occurs when it is exposed to air. Amazingly after this initial oxidation, it resists oxidation quite well & is one reason why it is chosen for use in electrical panels and other areas.
