One of the terms I use when talking with individuals is what level of perfection are you looking for especially on older historic homes… Do you like the squeaks & occasional dips, do you want the floor true though it may not be level or are you looking for perfectly flat & level? Well this terms applies to much more as shown below…

I like this phrase and in parallel have found myself using the phrase “level of doneness” a lot recently (in almost every aspect of life) … but back you question — if you want perfectly plumb,square and level – move in with the Sims not into an old house.

Yep very true on old houses but there are some out there that just don’t understand & then wonder why it costs so much more…
