So how do you complete a bathroom remodel in 5 days, build a house in 7, or pull off a 35 Million Dollar contest involving over 6,000 students from over 50 states in basically 4 days and make it look easy? Well the answer is pretty much the same, logistics & a lot of hard work done behind the scene. Here is a look at some of the competition areas two days before the actual competition officially kicks off (though for some students the fun actually starts today).
The Tech Expo area getting setup for all the students & advisors tomorrow
Keeping everyone on the same page
Bartle Hall 1 of 4 – yeah this is only 1 floors worth
Bartle Hall 2 of 4
Bartle Hall 3 of 4 – see them orange shirts, yeah everyone owes these volunteers big as they have been going non-stop since Saturday Morning
Some of the vendors / sponsors & groups getting the competition area setup
A nice quite area for architectural drawing, design & other competitions at the convention center
Moving over to Hale Arena – 48 areas almost setup for the Team Works competition
Just some of the stocked supplies, tools, etc… from last year brought in & distributed
Looks like brick &… (sorry I can’t say anymore – they will find out later today when they get the plans & specs)
1st days wood is already out there, this is for when it is called for & extra (anything left over goes to Habitat Restores)
Sharing the other side of Hale Arena – welding judges & vendors getting their area setup & everything tested
