Wacky Weds: Safety Training?

Take 5, Tailgate aka Toolbox talks, & crossword puzzles???

safety-system

Sorry, I am not giving away who uses this gem for their tool box talks, but seriously who’s idea was this? No, I am not kidding, it even has a room for a signature that said employee actually did it… While one should document their safety programs & trainings, I am not to sure this will fly. If you need help designing a safety program check out some of the resources listed in this tip section, hire a professional company, or even use some of ours. For example on “Bad Weather driving;” Top 10 Winter driving, Driving in the rain, Jettisoning them bad driving habits…

Speaking of toolbox talks I wish more companies would do job specific talks. Have a scaffolding job coming up? Do one on scaffolding the week before. Hottest week of the summer coming up? Talk about the dangers of heat exhaustion/stroke. So many crews used canned talks that are not that relevant to the current job site tasks.

Good point Jeff though I got to say most consider the idea a joke… well until something does happen. Just curious, would you like to write about this or something similar as you do have some good thoughts on this subject – if you do let me know & thanks again for all the great comments
