Wacky Weds: Marketing fail, blooper, or???

Ummm….

Seriously, how long has this guy worked in the trades… How did this get past any sort of marketing review? Shoot how did someone in the trades publication that accepted this ad not said anything? You can’t say that they don’t have the budget or technical experience not to have caught this simple mistake & corrected it.

I mean how hard is it to know that the stapler faces what you are stapling, not you? Granted, I know many of us have used a stapler as a quick hammer to set a staple but still….

Show of hands how many thought it was because they were using staples? Congrats you do know your stuff or maybe you just remembered the infamous “Don’t be this guy” staring Norm Abram piece. In this case though, it appears to be their Drain Vent product, which is the only one of their products that does not call out using cap staples or cap nails & instead states you should use regular roofing nails or 1/2″ staples.

So marketing fail, blooper, or??? Heh, they actually managed to get some free press from us, so maybe not so bad but we will let you decide – we would love to hear your thoughts below
