Wacky Weds: What a waste

I was riding my bike the other day & besides stop signs, not much can stop me in my tracks… well then there was this.
radiant-barrier2
What I originally took as radiant barrier film is actually a foam product with a radiant barrier applied – to bad it is all worthless. Why? Well… since you asked – a primer on radiant barriers. Shoot & then to top it off, you got to love the roof color if one is really worried about radiant heat. (Primer on Cool Roofs) radiant-barrier

The first picture almost looked like foil-faced poly-iso. I endorse that but don’t get the radiant barrier applied after the foam.

LOL, thanks Jeff & I guess I might have to work on my wording as it is foil faced foam, but it is not a poly-iso – more like that cheap polyurethane stuff they use for packing
Poly-iso is a great product, the catch is remembering that a radiant barrier needs an air space & while parts of the vinyl siding might have an adequate amount (though minimal), much of it doesn’t
      Thanks for jumping in
