I was riding my bike the other day & besides stop signs, not much can stop me in my tracks… well then there was this.
What I originally took as radiant barrier film is actually a foam product with a radiant barrier applied – to bad it is all worthless. Why? Well… since you asked – a primer on radiant barriers. Shoot & then to top it off, you got to love the roof color if one is really worried about radiant heat. (Primer on Cool Roofs)

The first picture almost looked like foil-faced poly-iso. I endorse that but don’t get the radiant barrier applied after the foam.

LOL, thanks Jeff & I guess I might have to work on my wording as it is foil faced foam, but it is not a poly-iso – more like that cheap polyurethane stuff they use for packing
Poly-iso is a great product, the catch is remembering that a radiant barrier needs an air space & while parts of the vinyl siding might have an adequate amount (though minimal), much of it doesn’t
Thanks for jumping in
